• Lead financial planning, budgeting, accounting, treasury and financial reporting for the university.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans; present these to the vice chancellor and governing council.
• Ensure accurate and timely statutory and management accounts, audits and compliance with relevant financial regulations.
• Manage cash flow, investments and debt; oversee payroll, procurement controls and payment processes.
• Implement financial controls, policy frameworks and risk mitigation to safeguard university assets and ensure value for money.
• Support fundraising, grant management and cost – centre reporting; liaise with external auditors and funding bodies.
